Period 8: 1945-1980, Topic 15- Continuity and change in Period 8

Student learning objective- Explain the extent to which the events of the period from 1945 to 1980 reshaped national identity.

SAQ Directions:

On 3/12, you must answer 2 out of the 3, but answer all parts (A, B and C) of the 2 SAQ's that you choose with specific examples.  Show you know.  On the option you do not answer, write "I answered the other 2" or something like that.  On May 8, you will have to do 3 of these in 40 minutes.  Tomorrow we will have far more than the allotted time for AP, because we are training.  We are not concerned with speed yet.  We are perfecting other parts of our strategy and skills first.

Tips on Short Answer Questions (SAQ)
-Always answer with a specific example as your evidence
-Do NOT use the same thing for two different parts of the question. (A, B, C)
-Do NOT quote- always paraphrase

Nixon Resignation and Ford Pardoning or Nixon Essay (due 3/10)

Immigration Project (due 10/1)

American History 10- Immigrant Project Directions:  Interview an immigrant to the  US   or someone who can answer all of these questions in place of the immigrant in case they are deceased or for another reason.  Step 1- All students must ask the questions and fill out the answers.  Interviewed people may not fill this out.  Students must record the answers themselves in order to learn.  Step 2- Students may choose between making an attractive and informative poster (see class examples) or writing a narrative essay with formal English writing rules.  Students can also choose to make a Google slides presentation.
